Brand Story: From out of the sparkling blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean, comes Ocean Hammock – the next great Oceanside community in the tradition of Amelia Island, Wild Dunes and Hilton Head Island. Ocean Hammock is designed around a spectacular Jack Nicklaus Signature course with six holes along the ocean. Residents will enjoy an elegant, clubhouse overlooking the Oceanside 19th hole, miles of nature trails, fitness center, over 300 acres of nature preserves and convenient access to the beach via a boardwalk.
Marketing Challenge: Ocean Hammock was launched in 2000 and sales were very brisk. Unfortunately, due to a variety of infrastructure delays, sales began to slow down since potential buyers didn’t want to wait for the amenities to be built. After looking carefully at various options for boosting sales, Regina determined that the best option was to implement a “stay and play” program, utilizing the golf assets that were available at Grand Haven and the surrounding Palm Coast area. The program was launched in mid 2000 and sales took off again, ending the year at 125, which was double the sales projections.
