Denise Kennedy brings over 20 years of distinguished leadership in directing a high-profile Southern California building industry trade association as well as directing large scale events for a variety of industries and companies to the Engage Marketing team. As a confident, creative, and highly qualified professional, Denise brings a broad-based operational, marketing, and tactical implementation background to assist companies in meeting organizational goals & objectives while adhering to budgetary requirements.

Denise has held high-profile senior leadership roles throughout her career. She is recognized as a collaborative team builder and tactical planner with the ability to build strong and lasting business relationships. She has enjoyed success in guiding sizeable, cross-functional teams of volunteers in the creation and launch of various events from small events of 25 guests to multi-day tradeshows of 1,700+ attendees. Recognized for decisive leadership and proven ability to face challenges head-on and execute sound decisions while effectively managing multiple simultaneous projects.

Denise has experience in leading the operational, membership, revenue, and marketing efforts for the Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIASC). Denise’s career with the organization spanned 29 years and involved every aspect of the management of the organization. As the Vice President of Operations for BIASC Orange County Chapter, Denise was responsible for the management and implementation of Association initiatives including budget development, finance and revenue operations, events and membership development.

Denise was also the Vice President Membership & Events for BIASC. Her role included management and implementation of Association initiatives. She was responsible for developing membership elements and growth strategy for the organization. Denise supervised key staff including membership sales, database entry, membership accounting, marketing, social media/PR and Councils. She also directed the association’s annual Building Industry Show, a large-scale two-day event for the Southern California building industry.

Denise attended Cal State Fullerton and enjoys living in Orange County with her family. She is an advocate for the homeless and has led the region’s efforts for HomeAid for many years. She is also a member of California Society of Association Executives.
